Cricket Wellington is now calling on entries for the 2026 Development Coaching Course. This will be facilitated by the Coach Development Manager from Cricket Wellington Dylan Harridge and Mark Borthwick, the New Zealand Cricket Regional Coach Development Manager.

This opportunity is delivered over three evenings with blended content. It combines online and practical modules alongside personal study and is intended for coaches of intermediate, college, and youth teams. This opportunity will cover planning, your coaching philosophy, the role of the coach, skill acquisition, growth and maturation while also delving into what makes an effective coach.

Cricket Wellington is saddened by the sudden passing of former Wellington representative Gail Ives.

Gail represented Wellington across both two-day and one-day cricket, scoring more than 600 runs and taking 54 wickets in two-day cricket. She was also a much-loved PE teacher at Wellington Girls’ College for more than 38 years.
