It’s Father’s Day this Sunday, in case you’ve had your head in the sand (bunker) - what better treat than to send him to golf (or better still take the family to play) and follow it up with roast dinner.

It’s the very last roast of the winter and it’s:

Rosemary & Olive Oil Roasted Lamb with Mint Jelly, Winter Root Vegetables, Peas & Gravy

Followed by Sticky Date Pudding, with Double Chocolate Ice Cream and Crumbed Biscuit.

Roast: $30 and Dessert: $15.

Feedback tells us that Chef Tennesse Liumaihetau’s roast chicken is his best roast dish (hard to choose though!) - which is your favourite?

Come in Sunday evening and try it for yourself - this is the second to last Sunday roast this winter.

Honey & Thyme Roast Chicken Maryland with Roast Vegetables, Mixed Herb & Butter stuffing, served with Gravy.

Apple & Blueberry Pudding with French Vanilla Ice-Cream.

We are thrilled to announce our joint Junior Golf Fundraiser will be held on MONDAY 19 OCTOBER, with our friends at KiwiGolf who have been teaching golf in schools around the region. The funds raised here will allow us to expand our junior golf programme and Kiwigolf to reach more schools.

This is a team event - 4 in a team, and the best three stablefords each hole count.

The top prize (though you can choose what prize you want), will see 4 lucky people travelling south (with a car) thanks to the incredible generosity of Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferries who have donated $1,000 worth of travel vouchers. Wowser!⛴️🏌️‍♂️🚕

The next School holidays are not far away and as part of Futures Wellington we present our 2026 Junior Open.

This is on the last Friday of the school holidays and we will also be offering up some skills sharpening lessons during the holidays to lead up to this event.

As well as our historic trophies, we are also offering a non-handicap 9 hole division for those who are earlier on in their golf journey.

(Thanks to Martinborough Volunteer Fire Brigade and their mates at Fire and Emergency NZ we have some wicked prizes to give away as well!)

It's all happening here today - these two stalwarts of our club won the Men's Martin 4BBB - well done Tony Taylor & Brian Russo (what a pair!) who won the final against John Warner & Barry Hayman. 🥰
