Olympic Harriers

Olympic Harriers Olympic Harriers of Wellington (New Zealand). Running and walking for all ages - road, cross country, athletics. Whatever you want to achieve, Olympic can help.

Olympic Harriers is a running and walking club based in Johnsonville, in the northern suburbs of Wellington. We cater for all levels of the sport: social running and walking; competitive cross country and road in the winter season; and athletics (track and field) in the summer. Some people in the sport are competitive and compete at the regional, national or international level. Some kids want to

improve their running, jumping and throwing skills. For many older runners and walkers, it’s about getting fit and having someone to walk or run with. Or it’s about improving 5km fun run times, half marathon times, or even support in achieving a full marathon! Running — the sport where you set the fitness level you want.

He played a big design role in the 75th Jubilee celebrations, designed the 1990s era club uniform and was the initiative behind the 1990 Jasper-Banff Relay trip. His funeral is on Friday in Waikanae and the details are available on line. Regards Owen Lenihan Life Member.
