Just because it feels slow doesn't mean good things aren't growing.

Sometimes the things we're working towards move so slowly we can barely see them moving at all.

We keep showing up. Doing the work. Waiting. Wondering.

And when progress isn't obvious, doubt gets loud.

Is this worth it?

Is it supposed to be this hard?

Maybe this just isn't for me...

The problem is that growth rarely feels dramatic while we're living it. More often, it's happening quietly—in small, ordinary moments that don't seem significant on their own.

Research shows that making progress, even in small ways, boosts motivation. Every time we complete a task or reach a milestone, our brain releases dopamine, reinforcing the desire to keep going.

So if your goal feels overwhelming, don't make your determination bigger. Make your next step smaller.

A genuinely small step should feel almost too easy.

Often the most important progress happens so slowly that you don't recognise it until you look back and realise how far you've come.

How many things have you put off because you don't feel ready?

Maybe you've been waiting until you have more confidence, more time, more clarity, or a better plan.

Perfectionism has a sneaky way of convincing us that we need to be fully prepared before we take the first step.

But confidence grows when we take action, not when we wait.

YES-Lab is all about becoming curious, trying small experiments, learning as you go, and discovering what happens when you stop waiting for the 'perfect' time.

You don't need certainty to begin.

You just need a willingness to say yes to one small next step.

YES-Lab begins Tuesday, 21 July.

If you'd like to join our online community, comment YES or send me a message, and I'll send you all the details.

One of the most common things women tell me after YES-Lab is that they feel less pressure to be perfect.

Instead, they notice:

• more willingness to try things
• more space to figure things out as they go
• more kindness towards themselves in the process

I love that because that's exactly what YES-Lab is about.

It's not about getting everything right. It's about creating a safe space to experiment, reflect and take small, intentional steps towards what matters most to you.

If you've been waiting until you feel more confident, more certain or more 'ready' before saying yes to something you really want, YES-Lab might be the gentle encouragement you're looking for.

Our next cohort meets online via Zoom on the third Tuesday evening of each month, from July to November, for one hour.

Each session includes:
• thoughtful reflection
• a short teaching
• intention-setting
• conversation
• encouragement
• a little accountability

Dates
21 July
18 August
15 September
20 October
17 November

7.00–8.00 pm (NZT)

Can't make a session? Don't worry—every session is recorded.

If this feels like the right season to give yourself permission to experiment a little more and expect perfection a little less, I'd love to have you join us.

Visit kellycoopercoaching.com/yes-lab for more information, or send me a message if you'd like to chat.

It has been a week of celebration.

Birthday dinners. Milestone moments. The privilege of celebrating my friend Sarah's 100th podcast episode over at . And quietly, reaching a professional milestone of my own.

More than once this week, I heard the question, 'So, what's next?'

And if I'm honest, I felt the familiar pull to answer it. To move on. To start planning. To chase the next goal before I'd really acknowledged this one.

But this week reminded me that celebration isn't just about marking an achievement. It's part of becoming.

On Sarah's 100th episode of In The Dust, we intentionally took time to reflect—not only on what she'd accomplished, but on who she'd become along the way. That conversation stayed with me.

When we rush straight to what's next, we can miss the moments that shape us.

When we pause to celebrate, we notice how far we've come. We recognise the people who've walked beside us. And we allow ourselves to feel joy, gratitude and even a quiet sense of pride.

Celebration isn't a reward for growth. Celebration is one of the ways we grow.

What have you been so busy moving on from that you haven't stopped to celebrate?

How often do you find yourself saying yes to everyone else and no to yourself?

Because life is busy.
Because you're looking after everyone else.
Because it feels easier to wait for the 'right time'.

YES-Lab was created for women who are ready to stop waiting and start taking small, meaningful steps toward what matters most to them.

Over five monthly online sessions, you'll explore what you truly desire, identify practical next steps, and build momentum through reflection, encouragement and community.

The next YES-Lab cohort begins in July, and I'd love to have you join us.
