Winter frost delays are frustrating for all. 😕

These are done to protect our course, and particularly the greens from damage when it is frosty, while we wait for the sun to do its thing.🌞

It does unfortunately mean with frost delays that any early morning tee bookings are cancelled (rather than immediately rescheduled). So please bear this in mind when booking.

Contact the pro-shop for updated status or to rebook, or better yet, keep updated by downloading the club app.

While we are in the depths of winter, we have to remember spring isn't too far away and as a reminder of that, entries have opened for our annual tournament week!!

Our Presidents Pennants team were back on the road to Ranfurly on Sunday.

Heading down the Ida Valley in snow, fog and -9C 🥶😱🥶 left us wondering what lay ahead…..

But it was a stunning day with blue sky & sunshine at Maniototo Golf Club with the course in awesome condition.

Our team managed to sneak home 4-2, with wins to Mike, Benn & Malcolm and halves to Karl & Martin.

Big thanks to the Maniototo team for their hospitality & the golf. Everyone enjoyed their day and look forward to seeing you back in Wanaka later in the season. 👍

Yesterday we had the unveiling of a memorable seat for John Templeton, who was a well-known & respected former club captain, board member and friend to many. John passed suddenly on course in December.

Representing John’s family was 2 of his children, Matt & Renee. The seat will be placed on the 17th hole in due course.

Speaking on behalf of the club was chairman Terry, and President Tony - who also ensured in true John style that had more than 1 toast, which eventually turned into 3 toasts….

Also unveiled was a trophy to be played for at the Wednesday Xmas Cheer, designed by Graeme “Telf” Telfer. This incorporated John’s work & pastimes of farming, golf and flying.

The 3rd round of the Queensland Junior Champs is underway at the Nudgee Golf Club, near Brisbane.

Raphael Anderson is currently 1 shot behind the leaders in 3rd place heading into today. Scores available through the link.

But there is also another guy Oscar Good, in 18th place, 7 shots behind - but showing representing Noosa Springs GC. Surely not!! There can't be 2 Oscar's?? 😅 We're not going to have to put Oscar in with Phar Lap, Crowded House and pavlova as things Ozzies stole?? 😂
