AR Golf at Wanaka Golf Club The Wanaka Golf Shop is situated at Wanaka Golf Club, run by Alan and Maree Rose.

Visit us between the beautiful mountains and the breath taking lake, Wanaka Golf Shop is situated on Ballantyne Road, just up from the Police and Fire station. Looking at learning to play golf or improving your swing Alan Rose is your man. Alan is the Wanaka Golf Club Professional and a member of the NZ Professional Golfers Association with an “AAA” rating. Maree (Alan’s better half) is also on hand in the shop to look after you on your visit (or daily visit) to the golf shop.

It is with great delight that I can announce Front 9 Golf will be managing the Central Otago Autumn Golf Classic in April 2024. Teeing off on Monday 8th April, golfers will play Alexandra Golf Course, Arrowtown Golf Course, Cromwell Golf Course and Queenstown Golf Course across the five days.

I have been working on the tournament for Par NZ since 2020 and am very excited to continue my involvement.

I am also excited to confirm that Mount Michael Wines will return as the tournament title sponsor. During the week you will have the opportunity to indulge in their range of wines during a long lunch on the Wednesday, and of course take home a bottle or two from the daily prize table.

The tournament was launched to past players on Thursday and a third of the 324 spots in the field have already been snapped up. If you would like more details or have any questions regarding the tournament then please email [email protected]

The format is largely based on that of recent tournaments, with one significant change in that 2024 will be a four course rotation. Wanaka Golf Club will not be a part of the tournament but are keen to be involved in future years. This means that there will be a rest day on the Wednesday. At the time of registration for the tournament you will have the option to purchase a ticket for the much anticipated Mount Michael Wines Long Lunch, that will be catered by the beautiful company Moreish Kitchen. There is also the option to play an extra round of golf at either Millbrook Resort or Jack's Point. Note that rounds will be available on both courses on the weekends before and after the tournament.
