The Conservation Amendment Bill is a direct threat to the public conservation land we all enjoy for tramping, hunting and exploring.

We all care about New Zealand's outdoor spaces. If you want to understand what's at stake check out the FMC's breakdown or head over to Forest & Bird's webinar tonight to find out more (linked below).

24 hours in Nelson Lakes National Park

A lunchtime start up Pinchgut Track took us onto Robert Ridge, soaking in alpine views before dropping off the ridge near Pt 1777 and heading into 3rd Basin. The traverse to the tarns was slow but worth it. We camped beside the tarns in two Moa-1s as the light faded.

Day two was back up to the ridgeline, then scree surfing, route-finding, and bush bashing north, with the Tui 42 carrying comfortably all day before popping out onto Speargrass Track and cruising home.

Ridgelines, tarns, and proper off-track travel.
One for the memory bank.
