Waiuku Rugby Club

Waiuku Rugby Club Waiuku District Rugby Football Club is situated in Waiuku, 45 minutes from Auckland. It is one of Co The team has been runner- up in 2004 and 2009.

Historically its playing strength and style was based on a strong forward pack reflecting a combination of the farming community and the steel mill. In recent times the Premier team in particular has developed an all round game with considerable success. Since 2000 the club has become one of the powerhouses of Counties rugby winning the Premiership in 2000, 2003, and 2010. A number of players have

moved on to higher honours; most noticeably Jim Coe, Alan Dawson Roy Craig and most recently the Club’s first locally bred All Black, Stephen Donald. In the 1950s both Kevin Skinner and Pat Walsh represented the club.

Another one of our players is reaching a significant milestone!

A huge congratulations to Anton Mccreadie on earning his 40-Game Blazer tomorrow. 👏

This is a fantastic achievement that reflects Anton's dedication, commitment, and hard work for the Waiuku Rugby Club.

A key leader and current Vice-Captain of the Division 2 side in 2026, Anton has also played an important role in the success of our previous Division 3 teams. His performances have not gone unnoticed, earning selection in the Counties Manukau Divisional XV for the past two seasons.

Anton brings reliability, leadership, and loyalty to the club, always putting the team and the jersey first. This milestone is a testament to the effort and passion he brings to the game.

A well-deserved achievement and a proud moment for Anton, his family and all his teammates.

Congratulations, Anton, on reaching 40 games in the green and red!

Sponsors Day results turned out just as we wanted. Both teams getting the win in their games at home, in front of our sponsors.

We would really like to thank all of our Sponsors, both team and club. Also Bruiser for the delicious sideline meal in the tent, Tegan from Kicks n Giggles for providing the amazing Bouncy Castle for the kids and everyone else who helped in any way to make the day the success it was.

The Division 2 team got the win against Bombay, keeping them in the top four with 2 games to go in the 2nd round.

The Under 85kg Bulldogs got one back over Patumahoe to put them in the 2nd spot of the U85kg Cup rounds.
