Today we celebrate 2 centurions!!
Congratulations to Chonny and Carlia 💯💯🎉🎉

Chonny Yorke is a quiet achiever that is a weapon and capable of so much. Finding what challenges her and pushing her limits is coming with confidence and it’s been awesome to see her out mainstream classes, smashing it 💥
Carlia Muir has a million things going on in her life and has found a fantastic balance of using the strength and conditioning classes to support her Hyrox goals and farm fitness and strength 💪 Capable of so much, we love having you in class Carlia 🎉

Thanks for being a part of this community guys - looking forward to the next 100 and more!!

At the beginning of every year we run an In-House Comp that gets our community together and solidifies friendships, along with testing fitness and challenging our coaches and athletes 💪

It helps set goals for the year and gives us all another reason to turn up every day 🙏

As part of that, we love a bit of inter-team rivalry and this year we are back competing for extra points!

We need your help though, and would appreciate you all looking through our pics and ‘liking’ your favourite team pics! The pic with the most likes by 9am Friday 13th will win the extra points 👌

We need the original post photos liked, so if a friend has shared it, please go to the original post and like your fave pic! It’s pretty important, just saying… 😘

Thanks for your help! And if you want to be a part of this next year - just hit us up, we’d love to have you 👋🔥

In House Open is up and running 🔥

Record turnout and straight into 26.1 — no easing in.

Heavy legs, wall balls and box jumps doing their thing and testing everyone early.

Wrapped it up the right way with good food and even better company.

Bring on 26.2!

The more conversations we have in our consults, the more this topic is becoming an important one to discuss. Getting your bloods checked at the doctors is one of the most important metrics we can check for our health.... Pre-diabetic is often on the list of those coming to chat with us, and a marker that is important to understand, and to know how exercise can help. Living with diabetes itself doesn’t mean you can’t get stronger, healthier, and feel amazing — in fact, strength training can be one of your most powerful tools for managing blood sugar and improving overall health.

Let’s break down the benefits in a way that’s practical, encouraging, and rooted in real science.

Congratulations to these guys for getting their hundred under their belt at the end of last year 🎉🎉💯💯

Congratulations to Georgia, Nix, Grace and John 👏

Georgia is hustler. She’s got a steely determination and loves to learn, so her progress with her strength and fitness has been obvious! Despite a trip overseas for a few weeks where it can take a nudge to get back into the swing of things, she’s on her way again and it’s awesome to have her consistent presence in the gym 💕

Nix has done so well to hit her 100 classes, navigating a shoulder injury but still finding the time and mindset to keep moving to help speed recovery. Normally an early riser and a regular at the Dawnbreakers class Nix always arrives with a smile and makes coaching an enjoyable experience!

Grace has made some amazing progress in her time with us so far. Working hard on her lifting technique and taking time to focus on core stability, it’s obvious she wants to keep smashing it. Grace brings plenty of questions and lots of enthusiasm which is so awesome.

John started with us in the Masters class and found his way into our Heat Classes and hasn’t looked back. He continues to amaze coaches with his mobility and strength and his ability to bounce up and down out of his burpees better than a lot of us! We love having him in class 🙏

Thanks to you all for hitting a Hundy with us - and we look forward to seeing you on the 500 board before long 👍🏻👍🏻

Rosemary Baird 🎉

How long have you been with us? 3 years

Why did you start? I slipped a disc in my back that required surgery, after recovery I did not have the drive to make myself do fitness and strengthening exercises. When walking past the gym with my sister, we decided to come in and see what you did. We joined up straight away and went to class that same afternoon.

What keeps you coming? The community, the laughs, the sense of achievement each time I master something and the fact that I am investing in my health for when I get old🤣

What’s the biggest positive of joining? Knowing that now that I have a good base of strength, fitness and flexibility that allows me to run around with my grandchildren and also sets me up for an active old age.

What advice do you have for others thinking about it? this is the best investment you will make for your health and mental well-being. Everytime you come through the doors you have made a small positive difference to your health. Everyone is supportive and everything is geared to where you are at in your health and fitness journey. You mark your milestones against your progress, not anynone else's. I look forward to seeing you in class.

Thanks for sharing Rosemary - and thanks for being a bloody legend 👊 training

Strength is specific. 💪 and we are getting specific with range of motion.

We measure it in the gym as a metric for health. Much like the doctor will measure your blood pressure, or your blood glucose levels. We measure strength and range of motion and will always encourage range over load.
You gain strength in the range you train it.

If you only lift part of a movement, you’re only strong in that part. But life doesn’t happen in half-ranges…. getting off the floor, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, catching yourself when you trip all require strength through full ranges of motion.

Training full, controlled ranges:

👊 Builds usable, real-world strength

👊 Keeps joints healthy and mobile

👊 Preserves balance and coordination

👊 Protects independence as you age

Longevity isn’t just about being strong—it’s about being strong where life demands it. Train the range, keep the freedom.

(the caveat to this post is when recovering from an injury or pain limits you) If this is the case - get in to see a Physio or bodywork professional to increase and improve your range of motion 🙏 And do your mobility work!

If you want help with this, come and see us… just send us a DM and we will be in touch 📞
