Hamilton Estate Community Hub, Waiuku. A place for locals to gather, includes: a playgroup, OSCAR, community vegetable gardens, adult/kid rugby league and a hall available for hire. All welcome.

The Hamilton Estate Community Hub includes: a voluntary run vegetable garden (with hangi pit), playgroup for under fives, after school care and holiday programmes for school age children, rugby league club/fields for kids and adult teams, plus a community hall that can be hired for events.

- After School Care runs daily from 3pm-6pm - we run a pick up service from local schools. WINZ subsidies, C

- The playgroup runs from 10am-2pm Wednesdays and Fridays. We welcome all parents with children under five, gold coin donation. Contact Grace on 027 255 7316

- The Community Gardens work on a voluntary basis, anyone is welcome to help and/or pick vegetables. We meet every Tuesday morning, 9am for a vegetable growing course - it's FREE. Contact: [email protected]

Thank you to all that attended today's workshop learning how to make kawakawa balm and worm farming at Reretewhioi marae in waiuku.

It was lovely to share the kaupapa of our workshop over kai, korero and learnings about Māori rongoa and maara kai.
