The Waitomo Trail Run traverses some extraordinary landscapes, and we want to make sure nothing we do will damage or alter this natural habitat.

To prevent the spread of weeds and diseases that could be a risk to our trees, plants and waterways, a shoe check station will be set up at registration (Waitomo Homestead). This will ensure your shoes are clean and dry before participating in the trail run. 21km and 35km participants are required to pass the Clean Dry Inspection before participating in these events.

Make sure your footwear has been dry and debris free for at least 48 hours prior to the race to pass.
