Waitara Boating Club

Waitara Boating Club Waitara Boating Club sits at the mouth of the Waitara River, 20km north of New Plymouth. Sheltered river waters allow sailing in most Conditions

Club members are sailing Optimist, Starling, Laser, 420, 470, OK, other open dinghy classes and Paper Tiger. Sailing takes place each Sunday from October to April around High Tide times. Please contact the club for the seasons programme. Learn to sail is available in the club owned Optimist and Sunburst training dinghy’s - please contact the Club for details.
