Waitakere Sporting Rifle Club West Auckland's only 25m indoor Sporting Rifle range. We shoot 22lr rifles in three positions at paper targets.

Range opens at 6:30pm Thursday Nights , New shooters to range are advised to come as early as possible so that we can go through an orientation of Range and safety briefing. 7:30pm first detail starts. Tea,Coffee and Milo provided free by Club

$10 Visitor Range fee
$5 Range fee Paid Member
$8 for 50 rnds of Target ammunition
$5 for 50 rnds cheap ammunition ( not for use with club rifles )

5 Club Rifle Hire
$2 Chamber flag ( compulsory item )..refunded when returned after use.
$60 Senior Yearly membership ( required after 3 visits )
$30 Junior Yearly Membership (under 18yrs)( required after 3 visits )

We endevour to shoot 3 details in a night with a maximum of 3 unlicenced shooters on range at any time as each unlicenced shooter required to have a licenced non shooting supervisor required by NZ Law. This is not always possible depending on how many members there are on a given night.

The inaugural WSRC Annual Prize Shoot was held on the 9th December 2019. This shoot will now be held every year. Prizes this year were medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

It was a highly contested shoot. Paul got in trouble early, literally, with an early start on the rapid targets, resulting in a shot that didn’t count. With an early charge on the coins, Darin then proceeded to drop a few too many shots off the edge of the animals. John, the dark horse, put together a perfect animals run and held it together on the snap to pull off a win.

So coming in 1st, John, with a final score of 213, absolutely smashing Darin’s score of 212. Paul finished a respectable 3rd with 210
