A nice little article featuring Lance and Paige kindly printed by Central Fm. Great to see their achievements getting some well-deserved recognitionπŸ‘

For those who might have missed it, Paige was also interviewed on the Centralines Sports Show the previous week while she was away competing at the NZ Champs. What an awesome experience and fantastic exposure for our club.

Coach Appreciation Post

A huge thank you to Alonso Fdz for once again doing an outstanding job preparing our swimmers to compete at national meets over the past three months. We’ve had swimmers represent the club at DIV 2, NAGs, and most recently NZ Champs, and they have done so with pride and fantastic results.

For a small club, our swimmers continue to perform exceptionally well both regionally and nationally, and that certainly doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a direct result of the tireless effort, dedication, and commitment Alonso puts into supporting our swimmers and helping them be their very best. Thank you for everything you do for our club.

We’d also like to sincerely thank the parents who supported Alonso by taking on team manager roles at these events. Your time, effort, and support are truly appreciated and make a huge difference.

NZ Champs – Day Five Update πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

Lance put together a strong swim in his 50m freestyle heat this morning, finishing close to his best long course time. Unfortunately, he missed out on progressing to the final. However, he’s not done yet, Lance will be back in the pool tonight as part of the NZ mixed S19 team for the 4x100m mixed medley relay, leading off with the 100m backstroke. πŸ’ͺ

Paige also delivered a solid performance in her 200m breaststroke heat and will return tonight to compete in the 17–18 years final.

With it being the final day of competition, the fatigue is definitely setting in, so let’s get behind them as they give it everything they’ve got in the pool tonight! πŸ‘πŸ”₯

NZ Champs – Day Four Update

Lance took on the 100m freestyle heats this morning. He was little off his best time, so won’t be back tonight for the MC final, great effort though. Keep the momentum going for last day tomorrow Lance πŸ’ͺ

Paige had a sneaky PB in her 50m breaststroke heat this morning. She’ll be back tonight to compete in the 17–18yr final πŸ”₯

Good luck tonight, Paige!

NZ Champs – Day 3 Update πŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

Paige swum the 100m Butterfly today, finishing 2nd in her heat with a time just outside her best long course time. She won’t be racing again tonight and will instead focus on rest and recovery ahead of her 50m breaststroke event tomorrow πŸ’ͺ

Lance had a big day competing in both the 200m Backstroke and 400m Freestyle. His 200m Backstroke was an MC timed final (results TBC), and he finished just outside his seed time in the 400m Freestyle.

Great news, Lance is back in the pool tonight for the MC final! Let’s get behind him πŸ‘πŸ”₯

Good luck, Lance!
