Attention all following this page.

We are ending the guiding at the end of this month (August) due to increased work loads with my other business.

I would like to thank those who came along on a guided hunt and supported the business.
If you would like to secure a hunt over the next few weeks, send a pm to make a booking. Any day, including week days are good.

Normally costs $550 per person and 1 meat animal. As a special we are offering the option to shoot a 2nd deer free of charge if it works out well on the day. Ie time permitted.

The stags have just started roaring today. They only roar for about 15 days so if your wanting a roar hunt in the next 2 weeks I have spots available. The most exciting time to hunt deer. Just tell your wife your going hunting, be a man! 😆

Father's day freezer filler with my wife and 2 children
and of course diesel dog.

195m shot with Seth on the tikka t3x 223 and me on the tikka t3x 7mm rem mag.

These are out 2 hire rifles both running Leopold optics and are super accurate.

We fired exactly at the same time, it was that well timed I looked at him and said "why didn't you shoot?" He said "I did! Why didn't you shoot?" It was then we realized that it was at exactly the same time and sounded like 1 shot. 2 deer down confirmed in fact we had both shot 🤣.

Ross at age 76 years young got shouted a trip by his daughters to say thankyou for all the help he provides them. He shot 2 deer as part of the 2 for 1 deal we are running. He hadn't shot a deer for 50 years! So was super stoked with himself. Great yarns and fun times on a beautiful spring day in Central Hawkesbay.

Thomas took advantage of the 2 for 1 deal we are running at the moment to shoot his first 2 fallow deer.

Thomas is originally from South Africa and has alot of hunting Experience in his home country. He has shot so many trophy animals and also guided clients back home. It was cool to see all the photos of different animals he had shot.

Thomas also field dressed and prepared the deer for carrying so we could carry 1 each back to the bike so had the full experience. He's already planning his next hunt at Bushy range.

Two for 1 deal is available from now until the end of August.

$500 and you get to take 2 meat animals.
Or bring a friend and pay $500 for you both and shoot 1 meat animal each. For an extra $150 each you both can shoot a second meat animal.

Hunts are available 7 days a week so there's really no excuse to get out and hunting.

Remember this property isn't steep and is gentleman's hunting suitable for all ages and fitness.

Father Jared and son Charlie joined us for a roar hunt.
We headed towards a roaring stag and stalked into 50m for Charlie aged 12 to take his shot. Charlie placed shot perfectly in the front sholder and put a cull stag on the ground within 30 minutes of the hunt.

We spent 20 minutes taking photos and talking about hunting and you wouldn't believe what happened next!

While we were talking another cull stag walked over the hill and walked straight towards us, Charlie set up for another shot and waited until it was about 20m from us and placed another perfect shot and down he went.
It was the most bizarre experience as we were in the open and making alot of noise. He wanted to shoot something with antler and he got his wish x2.

We then spent a few hours in the bush with bigger roaring stags, we had 2 roaring well within 20 metres for at least 30 mins which was very exciting for Charlie.
He couldn't get a shot off cleanly and made the right decision twice to not attempt to shoot.

Charlie was a neat young fella to take hunting and a very good shot. His father Jarrod has alot of hunting spots and is an experienced hunter but wanted us to guide them so Charlie could learn different skills from another hunter.

It was an epic day for us all.

Quick mission to the hunting block this morning to see if the bucks are croaking yet. Took the opportunity to shoot a spiker for our freezer. Couldn't get sxs bike to the animal so had to do a small carry to convince myself I'm still young 😆 😂
