SHERRI MCKAY

Originally from Canada Sherri has been in New Zealand for 26 years and in Waipu for 3. She is a qualified Fitness Instructor and is continuing to train for her Personal Trainer Qualification this year. She is passionate about health and fitness and an avid runner, having run the New York Marathon a couple of years ago as well as a number of 5km, 12km and half marathon events. Sherri firmly believes enjoyment is the key to success when getting fit.

Hey everyone I hope you are all getting excited about summer FINALLY arriving. Winter always seems to go on forever doesn't it. Were any of you lucky enough to get away to a warmer location?
So bring on the sunshine and hot weather which, of course, also has us thinking " how are those togs/bikinis going to feel/look after our "long winter". Well, we've got just over 11 weeks until Christmas and we all know that THAT means holiday time, going to the beach, etc. Are you ready for it? Or, maybe ....are you ready to do something about it if you're not?! Time to dig in if you're in the latter category.
I won't be running any Bootcamps until January as I've got some surgery coming up but I am available for Personal Training (one on one) and Group Training until then.
Please get in touch if you're keen to start your "summer transformation". Don't even wait until tomorrow, the time is NOW

Hope everyone had a fabulous Easter. I will admit I resisted the chocolate temptation this year. REASON:
I'm not working my butt off (literally) driving to
Whangarei twice a week to do GRIT to eat chocolate Easter eggs!!!!!!
Don't get me wrong, I would have been in like a robbers' dog if I hadn't put my money where my mouth is 3 weeks ago and paid up for all 6 weeks. Nothing like a bit of motivation to keep me on track.
POINT TO PONDER:

What does it take for you to stick to your plan to achieve your goals, Life, Fitness, Health, whatever they are....what is THE THING that makes you think twice before "falling off the wagon"?

I'm interested to hear your thoughts :-)

Off to a GRIT strength class today.....looking for some new ideas for BOOTCAMP as well as doing some personal fitness maintenance. I'll let you know how it went in my next post :-)

Good morning all. Hope your weekend was superb. I wonder how many of you did that little 20 min workout......???? Or ...maybe you did one of your own. Well done if you did!!!
I spent some time slicing and dicing veggies and making some healthy meals to put in my fridge for the week as it's going to be really busy!!!! It's amazing how that ONE thing has made me feel so much more on top of things for the start of the week YAY :-)

A POINT TO PONDER

Exercising for Fat Loss is completely different than Exercising for Fitness.......:-)

Perhaps a good circuit workout for indoor today:
Jumping jacks, lunges, squats, pressure, high knees, crunches, squat jumps.....just a short 20 minute burst with a nice slow stretch at the end for 10....... Just sayin
