Thank you Community Trust of Mid & South Canterbury for granting our club funding towards some fantastic gazebos for our members and volunteers!

Community groups across Mid and South Canterbury have shared more than $100,000 in the latest funding round from the Community Trust of Mid and South Canterbury - including support for one of Waimate’s key events.

Details for our RODEO!!

📅 Saturday 28th Feb 2026 - TODAY!!!
🎫 Tickets sold at the gate $25/ adult, $5/ child, $50/family
📘 Programmes sold at the gate and at the Merch stand! $3
⏰ Gates open 8.30am
📍 Southern A&P Grounds, Waimate

🤠 Parking - Spectators come in through the Main A & P Showgrounds gates and park through in the main oval - easy walking distance through our Rodeo admission gates - If Full - Parking available behind the Pavillion by Mt John Rd entrance

🚫 No dogs allowed thank you
🚫 No BYO Alcohol - Please support our onsite Rodeo Bar

📸 We have our own official photographers capturing our day - so please dont bring your long lens cameras along, you will be asked to put them back in your car

🤠 Make sure you pack your sunscreen, sun hat, deck chairs/ picnic blanket!

🤠 We accept cash & have eftpos facilities! Both at the gate, Bar, and our merch! Plus most of our vendors have these facilities as well!

🤠 Programmes $3 at the gate and over at the Merchandise/ Bar - Great way to keep track of what event we are up to and the competitors!
