Edition Zero Gravel ‘Hype Squad’

We’re looking for 4–6 riders to represent Edition Zero Gravel in the lead-up to Edition 5. Whether you’re a seasoned Mains finisher or a first-timer preparing for the Snack, we want people who are genuinely stoked about gravel riding and the community around it.

What being a part of the EZG Hype Squad looks like:

→ Sharing your journey to race day on your own channels
→ Representing Edition Zero honestly and authentically
→ Being part of the conversation, online and on the road
→ Joining us in Waimate for the full weekend experience

What you get:

→ ½ price entry to Edition Zero Gravel 2026
→ EZG tee
→ Early access to event news and updates
→ A community of like-minded riders behind you

We’re not looking for follower counts. We’re looking for people who ride, who share, and who genuinely care about what we’re building.

To apply, send us a DM or email [email protected] with a few lines about who you are, which course you’re planning to ride, and why you want to be part of Edition 5.

Applications close 20 June.

This weekend, a few incredible Kiwis are representing NZ at Unbound and we could not be more proud.

From 12000km's away, the whole EZG community is right there with you. Kiwi's know how to suffer in style, and you are about to show the world exactly that.

Enjoy every moment of it.

One week until registrations open. So, what are you having?

Edition Zero Gravel is serving up four courses this year.

Taster 53km | 500m | 35% gravel Never ridden gravel before? Bringing the kids? Supporting a mate but still want to roll? The Taster is your on-ramp to the adventure, all of the good stuff, none of the suffering.

Snack 85km | 900m | 56% gravel Rolling farm country, big skies, and a taste of what gravel riding is all about. Enough challenge to feel earned, enough fun to leave you grinning. A proper introduction.

Entrée 163km | 2.1k vert | 67% gravel A point to point with a twist. A bus ride, some fun, then a full adventure by bike. New for 2026 and already turning heads. The real deal for riders who mean business. The best of the Mains, but truly a course of its own.

Mains 248km | 3.5k vert | 75% gravel The full course. Earned one kilometre at a time. This is the hardest day on a bike this side of anywhere. 13 hours to get it done, grit required.

Our historic Velodrome finish awaits all those brave enough to start.

MAINS is on the MENU

Registrations open this World Bicycle Day and the Mains is back.

248km. 3,500m of climbing. 75% gravel. 13 hours to get it done.

The Edition Zero Mains is not a ride you stumble into, it is one you dream about, prepare for and never forget.

From the moment you roll into Waimate on Friday for the expo and registration, to waking early to assemble at the start line, before tackling the many hills and vistas of the region before the final velodrome laps at the finish, every kilometre will test your grit, your bike, your nutrition, and your mind.

This is the hardest day on a bike this side of anywhere.

4 Aid Stations. 2 Drop Bags. GPX navigation only. Minimum age 18.

Is the Mains your favourite course? Then you already know what to do.

Registrations open June 3rd on World Bicycle Day.

ENTREE GOES POINT TO POINT

Bus ride in. Bike out.

Introducing The Entrée, completely reimagined for 2026.

For four editions, the Entrée has been an out-and-back. Reliable. Familiar. Good.

But good is not what you are after.

For 2026, The Entrée goes point-to-point. You will board a bus at dawn in Waimate, ride from Albury, and race back to Waimate on the best roads the Mains course has to offer. No retracing your steps. Just 163km of South Canterbury gravel, one direction, and everything you've got.

This is the real deal.

📍 Albury start line → Waimate finish
📏 163km | 2,100m climbing | 67% gravel
🎯 3 aid stations | 1 drop bag | GPX navigation only
🏆 Age group categories | 18+ on race day | No E-bikes

Love a challenge? This one's for you.
