Trading the standard winter road ride for the Levin track on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Why? Because it features zero cars, zero traffic lights, and 100% pure, uninterrupted riding under the lights. It’s basically the VIP lounge of winter cycling, minus the velvet ropes and plus a lot of heavy breathing.

🚨 CLUB TRIP ALERT: Queenstown & Central Otago! 🚨

Who’s ready to swap the local tarmac for world-class Central Otago singletrack? 🏔️🚴‍♂️

The club is organizing a 6-day escape to Queenstown and Cromwell from Tuesday, 27 October to Sunday, 1 November. We’re talking 2.5 days exploring the entire Queenstown trial network, and a further 2 days riding from Arrowtown through the Kawarau Gorge into Cromwell, and finallly tackling the iconic Lake Dunstan Trail.

The Details:

The Riding: Grade 2 & 3 (easy to intermediate). Pure fun, zero terrifying drops.

The Budget: Around $2k (Includes direct Wellington flights, 3.5⭐️ twin-share accommodation, all transfers, and bike/helmet hire).

⚡ Upgrade: eBikes are available if you prefer a little extra boost on the climbs!

⚠️ The Catch: Shuttle space means ONLY 15 SPOTS AVAILABLE.

First in, best dressed. Don’t get left behind at the starting line!

Linking the heritage towns of Cromwell and Clyde, the Lake Dunstan Cycling and Walking Trail offers close survey of landforms shaped not only by nature but also the gold miners and dam-builders who toiled here during the last two centuries. Following in their footsteps, world-class track builders ha...

Since the weather on the 18th is looking more like a shipwreck than a bike race, we’ve postponed the Club Champs to April 25th. ⛈️

This gives you one more week to stop lying about "just riding for coffee" while you’re secretly smashing VO2 max intervals on the indoor trainer. We see those Strava stats.

The Fine Print: Visitors are welcome to race and stand on the podium, but you can’t run off with our Championship trophies—those stay in the family!

Club Champs are up next, mark your calendars - Road Race Saturday 18th April and Time Trial Saturday 9th May.

Visitors are welcome to compete and will be recognized for podium finishes, but are not eligible for the championship titles.

Lets see who's been secretly doing high intensity efforts and hill repeats while telling everyone they're "Just riding for coffee" ☕️

After six years managing the Club's comms, it's time for me to roll through and let fresh legs come to the front.

It's been a privilege to share our stories and achievements, to help our Club grow, and to have been part of a pretty awesome Committee team. I'm very grateful to everyone who has joined the Club, liked or commented on this page, read the emails, attended our events, and bought kit.
My heartfelt thanks to Gary Robert Clareburt for your steady leadership of the Club and for supporting new ideas. Photos by Mark, your stunning images bring the posts and website to life - not only making my job easier, but truly enjoyable.

I'm leaving you in the capable hands of Steve Chapman, who's taking the reins of the Club's online presence.

I still have a few projects to complete for the Club, and I'm excited to be putting more energy into the Kapiti Coast Trails Trust, helping to bring more off-road trails to the Coast.

Thank you - it's been an honour to have helped the Coolest Little Cycling Club
