CLUB NEWSLETTER September 2026 (this has been sent out by email too).

Bring on spring and summer (and more tennis) . . . a few key updates for you below.
Love Tennis:
New Zealand’s biggest fun/joint club tennis day of the year is this Sunday the 13th September at the Club, we’ll have rackets, balls, food, a bit of coaching – please come on down and join in the fun.
10am – 1pm.
Thanks to Carl Menary for organising this, and in advance to everyone that Carl has “rounded up” to assist. Anyone can come down and it is all free!

Membership Fees:
The new Club Committee met after the recent AGM and agreed to keep any annual membership fee increases to a minimum (as we have for the last few years), and you will see from your invoice that you will have just received that we have made a small increase of $10.00/membership for Senior memberships. These are still the cheapest fees in the area/region.
We obviously don’t make any changes to membership fees lightly – so if this change has made payment too challenging – please let a committee member know (in confidence) and we can work out some sort of payment plan if necessary.
Juniors:
The Litore Tennis Team are back into Coaching in Term 4 and the enrolment details are on the club website under memberships.
Thanks to those that have continued to attend the informal sessions in Term 3.
In Term 4 we will open all of the courts at 3pm for the youngsters; the other age groups are thereafter.
Whanau can always come down for a hit too.
Mid-Week Tennis:
Our Tuesday & Friday mid-week tennis continues to be strong with very regular attendees. Thanks to those who participate - this is a very important part of our club and is actually the heart and soul! If anyone new wants to join – just turn up and you will be met warmly by the regulars.
Committee Member Introduction:
We just had our AGM and election of Officers or Committee Members.
Firstly, a warm welcome to newly elected committee members: Meredith Randell and Gael Dunstall.
Secondly, congratulations to those re-elected: Paul Weaver, Diane Baynton, James Eldridge, Michelle Lunny, Carl Menary, Robert Bailey and Craig McFarlane.
Robert Hope was re-confirmed as our Patron.
