Registrations Open – 2026/27 Baseball / Softball Season
Registrations are now open for the 2026/27 Baseball / Softball Sport Season.
We are targeting six junior teams across three junior grades**, with two teams in each junior grade, and we are also offering senior playing options.
Grades for 2026/27
- U8 T-Ball – ages 5, 6 and 7
- U11 Machine Pitch – ages 8, 9 and 10
- Youth Baseball / Softball – ages 11 to 14
- Senior Men’s Softball – ages 15 to infinity
- Social Baseball – ages 15 to infinity
This programme is aimed at kids who are ready to move beyond “have-a-go” mode and start learning the game properly — throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, base running, teamwork, game awareness and the rules of diamond sport.
No previous baseball or softball experience is required, but we are looking for players and families who are keen to commit, learn and be part of a team.
We already have a solid group of coaches in place and are preparing to start training in October, or possibly earlier. Keep an eye on this page for training dates, open sessions and season updates.
For older youth players, the programme provides a pathway into the Giants Men’s Softball Team from age 15.
We will also be running Social Baseball this season for players aged 15 and over, including adults who want to get involved in a relaxed, social format.
Players may be placed in a lower or higher age group depending on ability, assessment, safety and available game opportunities.
We are also looking for parents and volunteers to help with coaching, team management, scoring, umpiring, field set-up and game-day support. You do not need to be an expert — just willing to help.

We have moved from Gordon Spratt Reserve to Carlton Reserve. We have combined with Western Bay Softball for all junior training programs and we share facilities. As a combined code Carlton Reserve will see extensive development over the next few years!
