Osu! A big congratulations to those who took part in our final grading of 2025. Maximum effort was put in by all and it was fantastic to see all your hard work pay off.

On Sunday 2nd November we decided to do some training at Petone beach. Well done to the brave group who managed to come. It was cold, windy, and obviously wet. We had heaps of fun and look forward to doing it again!

OSU! A big congratulations to our two new Shodan, Senpai Kim and Senpai Xavier. You both dug deep and put in a massive effort on Saturday. You showed that hard work and dedication pays off. Thank you to the Upper Hutt crew for coming in to support our two candidates.

Also, a big congratulations to the new Senpai from the other dojo. Senpai Zach from Wellington, Senpai Alex from Kapiti, and Senpai Ashleigh from Manawatu. You all did your dojo proud.

Thank you to Shuseki Shihan Mike for officiating the grading and giving the candidates a memorable experience, and to Shuseki Shihan Lance for travelling up from the South to support.

We are grateful for the Wellington dojo's hospitality and look forward to reconnecting with everyone at the next event.

Congratulations to Senpai Ella who graded to Nidan and Senpai Jo who graded to Shodan on the 28th of June. You both put in an enormous effort and made our dojo very proud. We look forward to sharing the next part of your journey with you.

Our dojo had our first training in our new space on Sunday. It is a great place and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to train there. We do not usually train on a Sunday so thank you to those who were able to attend. It was important to get some sweat on the floor before our usual timetable started up! We are excited to make the most of the opportunities this move provides us.

Last Thursday we said goodbye to the place we called home for over six years. Our last class there was full of energy and spirit, the best way to leave a space where we have created so many memories.
