Hi WASC members and friends.

A reminder it's the WASC Annual General Meeting Sat 29 May, starting at 6pm. All financial & life members are encouraged to attend. Please be there by 5.55pm.

The AFM shouldnt take too long. We'll be presenting the Chairman's report and results of the 2019/2020 audit. Straight after we'll be presenting some Club awards, including Dennis Stewart's Life Membership.

For those that stay on after we'll put on some pizzas.

Hi WASC whanau and friends.

You may have heard that the WASC bar has gone 100% cashless, as directed by the Defence Force. All sales now have to be made using Eftpos (still no PayWave or Credit Cards).

And the 'So What' is?
- We can't accept any cash for bar sales; no matter how big or small, even if you've got the right change, or even if you've been a WASC member for years.
- The 18+ age restriction still applies for all alcohol sales, even if the person paying isn't drinking.
- On the plus side, our volunteers no longer have to be responsible for handling cash.

When you're coming to the club, remember your Eftpos card and please tell friends & family of the changes.

Happy New Year WASC family & friends.

I hope your Christmas & New Years celebrations went well & you spent them with the folks who meant the most to you.

2020 is done & dusted & 2021 must be better. A proper sports year that we can enjoy like we're used to. Maybe some travel thrown in as well.

We finished 2020 quietly but with some successes to shout out about.
- Dennis Stewart was inducted as the WASC's newest Life Member. A well deserved reward for Dennis's long service to the club.
- Vini Watkins was recognized as the 2020 Team Member for her great work managing the Titans.
- Yours truly was awarded the 2020 Club Member.

Congrats to Dennis, Vini (& me I spose). We'll organized a decent get together early this year and properly celebrate these awards. Until then, stay safe and enjoy whatever break you get. Look forward to catching up soon.

Hi WASC members and friends.

WASC FUNCTION SATURDAY 19 DEC 20.

Reminder that the WASC End of Year Function is still on at the clubrooms on Saturday, but we've had to cancel the planned AGM due to illness on the Committee.

The function starts at 6pm. It's come as you are but Kiwi Christmas theme if you want to get into the spirit. Members, past & present, supporters and friends all welcome. A light supper (at no cost) will be provided and the Committee will shout the 1st drink for financial members, if you're there between 6 & 7pm.

Hope you can make it, to wrap up what can only be described as a year to remember (or forget).

Whether we see you or not, thanks for your involvement & support to the WASC this year, whether on the Committee, as team management, as a player or supporter. You make the club.

On behalf of the Committee, have a safe and relaxing Christmas & New Year. Watch out for your friends and whanau.

Kia ora WASC family.
Today we had our u7s prize giving and what a blast we all had the new recruits looked so happy with there trophies and medals.
A big thank you to the parents for all your efforts with coming to trainings and games and thank you for your understanding for the delayed prize giving.
Another big thank you to Dean ( wasc chairman ) for coming down and saying a few words.
Another big thank you to Dennis for organising the medals and trophies.
And one more big thank you to my wife Danelle for managing the team and organising today's event.
