๐ŸASSISTANT STEWARD NEEDED๐Ÿ

We're on the lookout for people to join our stewarding team at Wellington Family Speedway!

Stewards are the ones who keep the racing fair and safe โ€” making sure the rules are applied properly and consistently across the night. It's a good way to stay involved in the sport if you're not racing yourself.

What we're after:
โ€ข A good grasp of the rules and how they're applied
โ€ข Solid communication and people skills
โ€ข Someone who works through a process
โ€ข Consistency โ€” able to make a call without being swayed by emotion or outside pressure

You don't need to know it all already! Training and support comes from our local Head Steward, Jamie Emmens, and from Speedway New Zealand.

This could be the perfect way to get involved in our epic sport!

We are on the lookout for some more people to help us out with running the show! There are several roles available, and the opportunity to learn more than one role so you can have some variety in your season!

We have an awesome team of track volunteers, all with a love of speedway who enjoy spending our Saturday evenings together! If you want to get amongst it, or want to find out more about what it involves, please email;

We need your help this season! We are on the lookout for a team to take over our public ticketing sales. This is perfect for a club or organisation fundraising for something who enjoy spending time at the speedway!

You'll need to commit to;
๐Ÿ‘‰ 4-5 people each event
๐Ÿ‘‰ Gate staff must be 17+
๐Ÿ‘‰ 4:30pm arrival
๐Ÿ‘‰ Attending our season's calendar
๐Ÿ‘‰ Being our smiley, friendly face of Wellington Speedway!

What you'll receive;
๐Ÿ‘‰ Donation per staff member or lump sum to club
๐Ÿ‘‰ Entry into the speedway to watch once the gates close
๐Ÿ‘‰ Support for all training and questions along the way!

These events tend to be two of our biggest of the season, so secure your tickets early!

We have three membership options available at Wellington Family Speedway:

SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP โ€” $30
Non-voting membership for those who want to be part of the club and stay in the loop.
โ€ข Close carpark privileges
โ€ข On all emailing lists for key information
โ€ข Added to our private Facebook group, where club information is shared before being released publicly
โ€ข No sign-in required for the Dub Club

This season we are moving to Digital Membership Cards, so please ensure the photo you add to your licence or membership is the one you're happy to have on your card for the season. Social and Non-Competitor Memberships will be emailed an upload link following your purchase.

Memberships will be accepted on a fortnightly basis until the lead-up to the season, so please get your membership sorted in advance.

If you are a new member (including Youth), you will be required to send a blurb to [email protected] to explain a bit about yourself so we have an understanding of who we are accepting into our club. Please send this through after purchasing your licence or membership, this will be shared at committee.

๐Ÿ2026/27 SEASON CALENDAR - UPDATED๐Ÿ

Our season calendar has had a few updates. Here's what's changed...

๐Ÿ‘‰ Practice 2/3 has moved a week earlier โ€” it will now run Saturday 3rd October alongside PSI Rechecks. This frees up Saturday 10th October as a rain date if we need it.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Saturday 28th November โ€” Wellington Stockcars has been moved from this meeting due to local track clashes.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Sunday 3rd January meeting has moved to Sunday 27th December, which will now be the Wellington Saloons + Wellington Stockcars Champs.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Saturday 13th February โ€” Wellington Streetstock Champs added.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Saturday 20th February โ€” Burnout Exhibition added, joining the Capital Ministock Cup + Production Saloon Champs.
