Woohoo!! This coming weekend is our fundraiser eskrima tournament (paving the way for NZ's first official tournament on Labour Weekend).

I'll be competing this weekend and it'd be great to have a couple others give it a go! We'll be fully padded up on the day (courtesy of G**o Richard and the Kalis Illustrisimo crew). Participant registrations are $35 (all funds towards the October tournament and safety gear). Spectator entry is free.

And an unexpected moment where Blaine and I were invited on stage at the Southeast Asian Festival to give a brief demo of our VSCK eskrima style (founded by the late, amazing Sonny Umpad and passed on to us by G**o Mario Fernandez Quiroz). Was a great day with wonderful new friends. We felt humbled and privileged to be there!
