I am Bec's.
I’ve been a Physical Impact now for about 6 years… it’s been very on and off. But one thing that never changed, Strini, he never gave up on me!
December 1st last year I finally drew a line in the sand. I said right, this is it. 5 days a week, no mucking around, actually do what I keep saying I’m going to do.
I started at 76.6kg.
As of this week I’m 10kg down, stronger, fitter, and honestly feel better than I have in years.
It really just came down to consistency. Nothing fancy. Just actually showing up, to the gym, getting my steps in, and sorting my food out.
Food was the hardest part. I was basically drinking my calories at night and then not really eating properly during the day. I had to completely shift how I thought about it. It wasn’t about dieting, it was about fuelling myself so I actually had energy.
The first couple of months were frustrating as hell. Doing all the work and the scales not moving… it would’ve been easy to give up. But I didn’t this time!
Then it just started to click. I was eating properly, more protein, more carbs than I’ve ever eaten, and the weight finally started coming off.
I’ve kept it really simple. Same breakfast during the week, meal prep lunches on a Sunday, meat, veg, carbs. Nothing fancy.
And I still eat like a normal person, pie on a Friday, pancakes on a Sunday. It actually feels balanced now, not restrictive.
Still a bit to go, still dialing things in… but I’m genuinely proud of this.
Massive thanks to Strini and the team for sticking with me through all the stop-start years and backing me this time round. Means more than you know
