Congratulations to the Year 7/8 Boys’ Basketball Team on a nail-biting 23–21 win against Hilltop School on Monday night.

The first quarter saw the boys trailing 4–10, but they showed resilience and continued to play hard to stay within reach.

A few defensive tips during the halftime break allowed the boys to capitalise on intercept opportunities, which were then converted into points. It was an absolute pleasure to watch them make steady progress throughout the game. A well-deserved win for the team.

Player of the Day was awarded to Seth Pohatu for an outstanding performance. He adjusted quickly to the new defensive skill set, applied constant pressure that forced errors and created turnovers.

Seth also contributed to the scoreboard and positioned himself well to secure a number of offensive and defensive rebounds. Well done!
