🇦🇺🎯 Huge Congrats to Chris Schwebel – 2026 VRA Kings winner! 🎯🇦🇺

A massive shout‑out to our own Australian Rifle Team member, Chris Schwebel, who’s just taken out the 2026 VRA Kings Prize in Bendigo.

This is Chris’s third Kings win. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident. It’s hard work, calm under pressure and a whole lot of talent on the mound.

Well done, mate — what a performance.

🎤 Interview with Ben Picton:
Mungindi Border Rifle Club’s own Ben Picton has worn the green and gold many times — a multiple Australian TR Team representative and a proud NSW State Team shooter.

We sat down with Ben to ask a simple but meaningful question: Who has influenced you the most in the team?

Ben didn’t hesitate. His answer wasn’t about medals or titles — it was about the people who shaped him. The teammates who set the standard. The mentors who pushed him harder. The ones who showed him what it means to compete with pride, humility and grit.

His reflections remind us that even the strongest shooters are built by the people around them. Champions aren’t made alone — they’re forged in good company.

Congratulations Bruce

🎯🇦🇺Interview with 2015 World Champion, Ben Emms

When you think of Ben Emms, you think of the big moments — the 2015 World Individual Long Range Champion, multiple Australian Palma Teams, the calm authority on the mound and now the trusted wind coach guiding the Australian Target Rifle Team to the Australia Match.

But in this interview, we took a different path. Instead of asking about the wins everyone remembers, we asked Ben about a loss that taught him something lasting.

Ben, a proud member of the Lyndhurst Rifle Club, didn’t hesitate. Growth doesn’t just come from the podium. It comes from the grit, the honesty and the willingness to learn when things don’t go to plan.

🌟 INTERVIEW WITH DONNA NEGUS — AUSTRALIA’S TRAILBLAZING TR CHAMPION 🌟🇦🇺

We sat down with someone who needs no introduction in the Target Rifle community — Donna Negus. A proud member of the Bungendore Rifle Club, Donna is the only woman in the current Australian Target Rifle Team, a three‑time Queens/Kings Prize winner and a two‑time Palma World Championship team member. Her achievements speak for themselves, but it’s her humility, grit and passion for our sport that continue to inspire shooters across the country.

Fresh off her 2026 Tasmanian Kings Prize victory, Donna reflected on what the win meant to her, the strength of the competition and the joy of representing Australia and her club with pride.

But the heart of our conversation was something even bigger — equality in our sport.

Donna spoke about the unique culture of fullbore shooting, where men and women compete shoulder‑to‑shoulder, under the same conditions, for the same prizes, with the same expectations.

Her words are a powerful reminder of what makes our sport special - a community where skill, discipline and respect define success.

Congratulations again to Donna on her Tasmanian Kings win, and thank you for continuing to lead by example. Your achievements lift all of us.
