Could it be time to break free from “all or nothing” thinking? 👀

You know that rebellion spirit that taps you on the shoulder when you miss a day and says, “Oh f* it! I give up! I’ll start again next week...!” 😫

What would happen if you resisted the urge to throw your hands up and give up today? 🤔

What if you did something tiny that kept you a LITTLE bit on track?

Instead of doing it “all” or doing “nothing”, what if you did SOMEthing in alignment with your goals?

A shorter walk? An easier workout?

How would you feel after that? How would you feel tomorrow? How would you feel next Monday?

If you only ever expect yourself to do a “full” workout, how often will you realistically do it?

What if you gave yourself plenty of room and flexibility to move in a way that matches your time and energy levels each day?

If you feel like you’ve got NO time and NO energy to move but KNOW being fitter would help you feel better, then I might have a solution for you...

We make ~35,000 decisions everyday. If we made 1% of them slightly better, that's 350 different choices...!

I'm kinda blown away by that! How about you?

I don't do this nearly enough but when I do take a pause to envision my "version 2," I am much more likely to make a better choice!

When I'm on autopilot, I choose the easier exercise, give up early, eat my kids snacks and swing by McDs.

But if I pause for 2 seconds, envision future Abby, I'm much more likely to grit through a tougher exercise or an extra cardio interval or make more nutritious food!

What do you think? If you paused to envision future you before make a few decisions in the next 24 hours, would you make slightly better choices for yourself?

And if we made a couple of better choices everyday, could they compound for longer-term improvements?

If you've been doing nothing for a while (don't worry, there's no judgement here - I've been there too!), ANYthing, SOMEthing, a TINY bit is going to make a difference.

The stink thing about improving our health & fitness is that it does feel like TINY progress day to day.

But then, all of a sudden, it clicks.

🐪 You know the camel & the straw story, right? (You might even feel that way on days with your kid(s)!! 🤣)

💰 What about the millionaire? Did they become rich at $999,999? Or with the next ONE dollar?

Do you become fit by doing ONE workout?
Do you become weak skipping ONE workout?

If your health & fitness goal feels MASSIVE and too big to even make trying worth it, what if you didn't look so far ahead?

And what if you stopped every few days and looked back at your progress?

Like climbing a mountain... at the bottom, there's not much of a view. But part of the way up, you start seeing more & more and getting to the top feels more motivating.

I think the same is true for fitness. Starting is hard. Re-starting is crazy hard. But if you do, could it be possible that the more you do, the easier & more motivating it becomes?

Plus, if you take a few pauses along the way, you might even be able to look back and see your progress?
