Despite the nasty weather we had 43 brave archers shooting at the club on Sunday in round #1 of the Archery Interclub Series. Two 20 target rounds (silhouette in the morning and 3D in the afternoon) provided lots of challenges in addition to the rain and very slippery and muddy tracks. Big shoutout to the members who have been involved in the working bees to get everything ready - and to the wonderful catering crew that looked after our lunch requirements. Big shout out to all the Lakeview team for successfully hosting the NZFAA Unmarked League Round #1 on Sunday. A new course thanks to a lot of scheming and regular walks up the gully by Sharon P and Jack - was challenging for the lungs and the archery skills! Darren, Wendy and Jane ensured we were well fed and watered at lunchtime - much appreciated!
Congratulations to to Frejvid (highest score for Junior archer), Dennis (highest score unsighted divisions) and Ed Stewart (highest score sighted divisions) - a clean sweep by the Lakeview members. Go Lakeview!

Amazing weather for our night shoot yesterday. Good turnout and great food ahead of a good wander around the gully to shoot 3D targets under spotlights and headlamps. A few glow-worms also spotted in the banks. the lit arrow nocks certainly make it easier to spot the arrows in flight and also allow for some cool photos/video's.
Lovely to also be about to celebrate Jack's birthday on Matariki Day. Food, friends and fun!

Congratulations to all the Lakeview Archers who have been involved in the Indoor League series and who shot at the Waikato Regional event over the weekend. Some great results from everyone - with members winning multiple division trophies and then scooping the top three places in the teams event. GO Lakeview!
Special thanks to the Riverglade team who assisted with the weekend event and providing a great venue to keep everyone dry! Full results can be found on the NZFAA website

Great to have have some of the Yankton bound folks join us on Sunday for our Marked Round of the Club Champs. Thanks to Simon for getting the targets in place and Sharon for cooking our world famous burgers for lunch. Jess has updated out scoreboard for everyone to capture their fantastic scores too!
