Unfortunately, the combination of dry weather, high fire risk, and forestry closures means we have had to make the tough call to cancel this year’s event.
We wanted to let everyone know early so those travelling can adjust plans and cancel accommodation if needed. Refund details will be shared soon — thanks for your understanding

We are racing!!!
It is all go, for Sunday, the sun is out.

The council remind you that there is a boil water notice in place, so please all bring your own drinking water.

We are in communication with roading authorities & the police regarding road closures, we will update this post immediately as we get information.
State Highway 73 (Arthurs Pass) is open.

** Update on State Highway 6 (north of Murchison) opened at 7pm.
