Friday marked the conclusion of a fantastic week of women’s golf tournaments here at Timaru Golf Club, finishing with the hosting of the Aorangi Final for the National Women’s Teams Competition ⛳️

We were delighted to welcome teams and supporters from around the region for a great day of competitive golf and club spirit.
Congratulations to Rakaia Golf Club on taking out the title after a strong performance 👏

It has been wonderful to see so much women’s golf happening at our club over the past week, with excellent numbers, great camaraderie and plenty of quality golf on display.

A big thank you to everyone who helped throughout the week — from players and volunteers to organisers and supporters. Events like these are only possible thanks to the effort of many people behind the scenes.

Timaru Golf Club is proud to support and host women’s golf in our region, and we thank everyone who visited our club this week.

Another fantastic day at Timaru Golf Club for our 9 Hole Mixed Tournament yesterday! ⛳️

It was great to welcome players from around the region for a fun and competitive day of golf, with some excellent scoring across both divisions.

We were especially pleased to have our Club Patron and Life Member, Grace Cowan, present the prizes to our winners.

Congratulations to Judith Tutton (Gleniti), who took out Best Gross Overall with a superb round of 43.
A special congratulations also to Michelle Watson, who won the Best Nett for a Timaru member 👏

A huge thank you to our major sponsor Brown & Shipman Collision Repair Specialists for their continued support, along with Golf Stop and Jeffersons Giftware.

Thanks as well to all players, volunteers and supporters who helped make the tournament another successful event at Timaru Golf Club.

A fantastic day of women's golf at Timaru Golf Club last Friday for the annual Kerr Cup. ⛳

The Kerr Cup is a long-standing and prestigious women’s interclub teams event that brings together clubs from around the region for a day of competitive but enjoyable golf and great camaraderie. The event honours Mrs E.G. Kerr, who won the New Zealand Ladies Golf Championship in 1926, with the cup later presented in her honour by her family.

Congratulations to Temuka Golf Club who were this year’s winners with a superb combined nett score of 286. 👏
Representing Temuka were Gay Smith, Willie Powell, Frances Mulvey and Jenny Bolitho — a fantastic effort and well deserved victory.

Thank you to all the clubs and players who travelled to Timaru and helped make the day such a success. It’s always wonderful to see the tradition and spirit of women’s golf continuing so strongly throughout our region.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back again next year!
