Kevin Hessell School of Swimming is the only private swim school in South Canterbury.

Akira started her swimming journey when she was 6 months old.
Now 4 years and 6 months old Akira is a fantastic "little" freestyle swimmer for her age.
With her backstroke, thumbs out and pinkies in.
14 years ago someone said you can't teach children Akira's age learn to swim as they are not physically capable of learning the complex motor skills associated with swimming.
Well it's gives me the warm fuzzys of what the children have achieved at the swim school.

Hi Swimmers,
Coach Kevie and Charles would like to congratulate all the Swimmers who participated in the "have a go" race evening at CBay Aquatic Center yesterday.
We were most impressed with how much effort went into your racing.
The feel of the water,the catch of the water,then the pull ,then the push followed by the recovery was something to see.
Keep up the great work and if you apply those principles the next time you race your times will be better.
