Ramper Year 5/6 team.
Last game for our Rampers team on Saturday.
What a way to finish off the season, going up against a great Matamata team, the boys had to put in the Mahi to get the treats.
With the hot weather making it hard for the team to get that final push, the boys dug in deep and won the game in the last over with Van hitting the winning runs for the team.

This term has been a great term for learning and growth, we look forward to seeing what the 2026 season brings for this team!
Thank you for all the parents, helpers and players, you have made this team work so well and we have been able to see throughout this term just the amazing development and progress that every one has made, congratulations to you!

Exploders team Saturday game day.
Last game for 2025 on home soil for the Exploders on Saturday; with Cambridge making the travel over to Thames.
Thames Batted 1st and Cambridge brought the heat their whole bowling innings, with some great pace and spin it pinned out Batters down to a low strike rate and made the work hard for their runs with the fielding being very quick to get the ball in.
With the out field still not up to great standards the ball stuck in the grass which made for getting boundaries hard to come by, but still made a big enough total that we could pin them down to not get the win.
Unfortunately it wasn't enough runs on the board, even with some amazing wickets that were taken, Cambridge were able to get the win in the second to last over of the match.

With that being the 2025 season over now, we are thankful for the players that took the plunge and moved up to the Advanced Pool this term, it has pushed the team and tested the team but in the end has given them the platform to grow and strengthen their cricket.
Thank you to all the Parents who without them we wouldn't have Cricket, for sacrificing their time to get the players to the games and to help support by cheering them on, Scoring or umpiring.

A huge congratulations to these two outstanding young men from our Exploders Year 7/8 team!
Blake Mackenzie and Jordan Holmes have been selected for the Athlete Development Programme at Hamilton Boys’ High School for 2026.
This is an incredible achievement, with selection coming from a large and talented group of cricketers who trialled.
Not only have they earned a spot in this prestigious programme, but they will also be joining Hamilton Boys’ High School as boarding students in the Argyle Hostel.
As Blake and Jordan play their final game in Thames Blue, we want to wish them all the very best.
Go out there and show them what the Valley is made of — we’re all so proud of you! 💙🏏✨

2nd warm up game for our Year 7 Valley team in Morrinsville on Sunday.
With high hopes that the sun would stay all day we were quickly reminded of how spring weather works only managing to get our bowling overs in.
But we are greatfull for that as we had amazing performances.
Another great day for the team to get some practice and team bonding in.

One more warm up game to go before January.

Exploders team Saturday game day.
1st game on home soil for the Exploders on Saturday; with Te Awamutu making the travel over to Thames.
Thames was bowling up 1st we went heads down and make good work with getting their team all out for 80runs!
With TA only bringing up 7 players they had an opportunity to re-bat a few players and made the most of it with us ending up needing to chase down 168 runs.
With massive improvement in our batting we had our 3 opening batters retire all making double digits. With some quick cameos coming in the back end, we managed to chase down the total in the 25th over.

1 more game to go for the 2025 cricket season next week on home soil again.
