It's tempting to talk about a specific feature of this or that new design, but it's important to understand that when it comes to Soul designs, no feature is stand alone. Everything is working with everything else to accomplish the end goal.
Take the rocker shape of the new SuperSkipper.
The hull rocker is basically meaningless in its overall intent without considering both the bow deck rocker, and the tail rocker as a symbiont unit.
Firstly, the deck rocker matches the curves of the hull, so that water flowing over the deck is matching the trajectory of the water flowing under the bow. This is critical if you want the boat to keep moving forwards as it resurfaces, rather than just exploding to the surface in a stall.
But once the deck breaks the surface (after a plunge), you want the boat to keep rocketing forwards and away from the base of the drop. The boat rocks smoothly onto the long flat planing surface that goes from just behind the seat to the tail tip, allowing the boat to skip forward with speed on that planing surface.
Obviously there is more to it than this. The way the boats volume engages progressively is critical (both deck and hull), and the shape of the rail progression from bow to stern to maximize the planing/skipping effect play a massive role in the overall boats performance.
What we can tell you, is that you've never felt anything like this.
