Not sure what to expect from a recovery session?
First time? We’ll guide you through it, no pressure 👇

When you arrive at River Rock, you’ll be greeted by Pete or Laura and shown through the space. It’s relaxed, no rush, and you can move through everything in your own way. If you’re not sure where to start, here’s a way we recommend to start plus a few more in the second slide.

Start slow.
Ease in with compression therapy (upper or lower - your choice) alongside the red light mask.
⏱ 15 minutes
It’s an easy, comfortable place to begin, just sit back while your body starts to unwind.

Then into the cold. ❄️
⏱ 2–5 minutes
We’ve got two temps to choose from. It’s a bit of a shock at first (everyone says the same 😅), but focus on your breathing and it quickly turns into that clear, awake feeling that people love.

Finish with heat. 🔥
Step into the sauna and let everything soften.
⏱ 15–30 minutes
Muscles relax, your breathing slows, and your body properly switches off. Stay as long as it feels good for you.

All set amongst the quiet of farm life, away from it all, but right here in Ōtaki 🌿

What to bring:
Just yourself.
Comfortable clothing (gym/sportswear), a drink bottle, and two towels.
