Holding back and playing small in life - it's frustrating, right? You're smart and capable, but self-doubt keeps showing up. You tell yourself you're not good enough and push aside what you want for your life. And no matter how many books, podcasts or videos you read or watch, or workshops you attend, n-o-t-h-i-n-g changes! It's not that you haven't tried, because you have, it's just, well, someth

ing's missing. While skills are important, you need this important piece of the puzzle — clarity about who you are, what you value, and how you want to live. But without that clarity, I promise you this... you'll keep pushing yourself hard to do what you think you ‘should’. You'll get bogged down trying to please others and put yourself under even more pressure. You'll drag your heels on decisions and second-guess your actions. And all that stress you're experiencing will take a toll on your health and wellbeing. A clearly defined vision for your life provides direction — it helps you filter out distractions so you can focus on what’s most important. EVERYTHING can change when you have a crystal-clear vision of how you want your life to be, and you confidently own who you are and what you want. How do I know this? Because conscious envisioning and planning is my specialty. In a career spanning almost 30 years, I’ve helped major businesses, local government organisations, business owners, leaders, and high performers plan in a number of contexts, and worked as a mindset coach. My life coaching approach incorporates planning, mindset alignment, heart attunement, and practical action-taking strategies. You'll learn about the Your Whole Life 8-element approach, go deep into your values and what they mean to you, envision how you want to live, uncover what will trip you up, and create a plan to make it real. Ready to set yourself up to live life fully—to feel fully alive?! I'll ask you a few questions to make sure we'll be a good fit to work together and then provide you with further details. Live well,

- Tracey

We get to choose so much of what shapes our lives.

Our thoughts, our words, our actions, what goes on our To Do list and in our calendar, and the decisions we make each day all play a part.

But it's easy to forget that.

Life gets busy. We get caught up in responsibilities, other people's expectations, all the things we think we should do, and a never-ending To Do list. Before we know it, we're moving from one thing to the next without stopping to consider whether what we're doing is actually right for us.

When that happens, it can feel like we don't have a choice. Like we just have to keep going and deal with whatever comes our way. It's a frustrating way to live.

I find it helpful to pause and take a breath.

In fact, I did that this morning. I looked at my plans for the week and realised I was trying to squeeze something in that would create unnecessary pressure. So I made a few changes.

That decision has done two things for me. First, it reminded me that I have the power to choose what goes into my week. Second, I could feel the tension shift as I realised there was room to breathe.

How about you? Is there a change you could make this week that would help you live well?

Most people don’t consciously choose how they live. They drift through it.

That can be a hard truth to hear. But when you see the impact it has on you, it's eye-opening and often a catalyst for change.

Living by default looks like reacting to whatever comes along, trying to meet expectations, feeling weighed down by shoulds, and wondering how another year has disappeared while you still feel stuck. It's like you’re living the same day on repeat!

Living intentionally means taking full responsibility for your life. It’s about gaining clarity on who you are, what you value, and how you want to be living so you can make decisions that are right for you.

It asks you to take action even when it feels uncomfortable or scary. You're no longer hoping life improves, you’re actively shaping one that feels fulfilling.

When you live intentionally, you stop outsourcing your life to habit, pressure, and the need to fit in, and start shaping it with clarity and care.

And once you feel the difference, it’s hard to accept living by default ever again.

June marks the start of winter here in the Southern Hemisphere.

The days are getting shorter, the mornings are colder, and nature is slowing down.

Many people expect themselves to operate at full speed all the time. Pushing through tiredness, filling their schedules, and carrying on as though every season requires the same pace and energy.

But living by design means paying attention.

It's about noticing what's happening around us and within us, and making conscious choices rather than running on autopilot.

Life moves in cycles and seasons, just like nature. There are times for growth and action, and there are times for rest, reflection, and renewal.

Winter invites us to slow down and get more rest. It's also an ideal time for a little more silence and solitude, and for being thoughtful about where we direct our attention, energy, and focus.

Not because we're giving up on what matters, but because we're creating the conditions to live well.

The start of a new month is a useful opportunity to pause and check in with yourself.

What's your intention? What are your goals and priorities as you move into June and into winter?

Live well in June.

P.S. I wonder what might change for you if you stopped resisting the natural cycles and started working with them instead?

Say yes...

To your dream.
To the opportunity that excites you and scares you.
To accepting help.
To stopping for a cuppa.
To trying again.
To taking the step before you feel fully ready.
To backing yourself.
To resting.
To change.
To the conversation you’ve been avoiding.
To the life you actually want.

And yes, it might feel scary. Things might not go to plan, or you might not know exactly how it will work out.

But every time you intentionally say “yes” to yourself, you send a message that what you want and need matters, and that you matter, too.

Over time, these moments of self-trust change the quality of your life. It’s a natural consequence.

Say yes and trust yourself to figure out the rest along the way.

When you come back from a holiday or meaningful experience, do you ever hear yourself say, “Well… it’s back to real life now”?

It’s interesting when you think about it.

The phrase implies that the time away wasn’t really part of your life. As though rest, joy, connection, adventure, spaciousness, or slower days somehow sit outside of what life actually is.

I’ve recently come back from three weeks away. Some of it was holiday, and some of it was living and working in a different location and at a different rhythm.

I consider all of it to be my real life.

But it made me wonder how many people unconsciously define “real life” as pressure, responsibility, stress, endless to-do lists, pushing through, and holding everything together.

And treat holidays, rest, joy, and meaningful moments as something separate - as if it's a temporary escape from life, rather than part of life itself.

Over time, that can leave you feeling emotionally disconnected from their your own life.

Real life is all of it.

And the way you define life matters more than most people realise.

Most people try to create change in their lives by taking action.

They focus on building new habits, identifying what they’ll stop or start doing, and making the decisions they think are expected of them.

But that often misses what actually creates change.

Because no reaction, behaviour, decision, or outcome is completely random.

We operate from internal models shaped by our experiences, environments, beliefs, and expectations.

And most of the time, we operate from those models without being aware of them.

That’s why trying to create meaningful change through action alone will often feel frustrating — you can’t consciously change a pattern you haven’t yet clearly recognised.

Real, sustainable change starts with awareness.

It’s understanding the patterns you’re operating from, seeing what’s driving them, and exploring whether they’re actually aligned with how you want to live.

Most people try to change outcomes without understanding the system producing them.

But that’s where real change begins.

Here’s to living more consciously this week.

Committing time to dreaming, thinking, and planning rather than constantly doing is invaluable.

It creates space to reconnect with what you actually want, reflect on where you’re heading, and consider whether the life you’re creating still feels aligned.

But so many people move from task to task, week to week, without ever stopping to really think about their lives.

That’s why the space matters.

Whether it’s a few days away, half a day, or even an hour or two, stepping out of constant action gives you the opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself and how you want to be living.

Intentional living doesn’t happen by accident. It requires space to think beyond a never-ending To Do list.

P.S. Aoraki / Mt Cook was an incredible backdrop for some planning recently. Such an inspiring environment!

What if you’re not seeing life as it actually is?

We interpret life through filters shaped by our experiences, beliefs, and expectations.

Those filters influence what we notice, the meaning we assign to situations, what we expect will happen, and what feels safe or risky.

Tonight, REAL members received a new video and worksheet exploring the hidden filters shaping behaviour, reactions, outcomes, and ultimately the life they're living.

This work is part of becoming more intentional about the life you’re creating. Because when you start to understand your patterns, your operating models, you’re in a far better position to consciously shape them so they support you better.

Deciding what matters to you and using that as your measure of success is far more meaningful than endlessly comparing yourself to other people.

They’re not you.

They don’t have the same values, priorities, goals, responsibilities, or vision for their life as you do.

So why measure your life against a definition of success that was never designed for you?

A question people often have about coaching is how we’ll know if it’s actually working.

It’s a fair question because coaching requires an investment of time, energy, and money, as well as a willingness to engage honestly in the process.

When you work with me, we start by getting clear on the outcome you want to move towards and why it matters to you.

From there, I’ll map out what our work together could look like.

At each session, we’ll check in on what’s changing, what you’re noticing, what actions you’ve taken, and whether the direction still feels aligned and relevant. And sometimes we’ll need to make changes, and I’ll talk with you about that.

The process is designed to be intentional, not rigid. The work adapts to what’s actually emerging, rather than forcing you through a fixed framework or one-size-fits-all approach.
