Based in the beautiful Ohaupo, Waikato, Gosford Park Equine is run by Richard and Natacha Otto, who have both been passionate about horses their entire lives. Richard has served as a selector for New Zealand Eventing, a role that has taken him to many exciting destinations to support and scout talented Kiwi riders. He has trained winners in several of the major races across New Zealand and Austral
ia. Remarkably, at just 20 years old, Richard became one of the youngest trainers to have a runner in the Melbourne Cup. His horse, Na Botto, ran a gallant third. Together, Richard and Natacha also train and produce top-quality show horses and ponies. Their success in the ring includes numerous Horse of the Year titles across various categories, as well as National, Grand National, and Royal Show Championships. Natacha’s experience extends internationally—she has represented New Zealand with show teams in both Melbourne and Sydney, and previously worked at a leading show stable in the UK, competing at many of Britain’s top shows. Gosford Park has also proudly produced several talented New Zealand eventers, and we’re fortunate to be supported by an incredible team of people who help us keep our horses, riders, and owners happy and thriving.
