'"Important notice"

On the 6/12/2025 we welcomed the third player for TA Marist Cricket to reach 100 games for the team.

Mark Cotes played this 100th game vs Hinuera at Pohlen Park in Matamata.

Mark started playing for marist cricket in 2015 reaching the 100 game milestone in this 10th season with the club, along the way Mark suffered a few lower back problems but showed outstanding commitment to reach this 100th game.

Mark also played many years of senior rugby for Marist as well.

Photos supplied are of Mark receiving his 100th game cap at Marist before we played Pirongia on the 13/12/2025.

Mark has been an outstanding player for the cricket team over the years, he was the first player to take a hat-trick for the team. Game was vs TA Sports at Kihikihi Domain back in 2016.

He is also known as the hall of famer to local team TA Gold for hitting his personal best of 51 vs them and also smashing sixes to win the local challenge cup games.

All the best for your cricket future Mark.

T.A Marist Cricket are very proud to have Scott and Ryan Sands playing cricket together at our club.

Last season Ryan played a few games filling in to help us out. Without Ryan filling in for us we would have never made both finals that season.

Ryan played last week as well for us when we were very short of players.

It's a very special moment in a parent's life when they get to play a game of sport with their kids and we know Scott is very proud to achieve this.

In March this year Scott and Ryan got to play the final at Seddon Park in Hamilton together what an awesome moment for them.

By the way Ryan is way better at fielding than his Dad😎

TA Marist played TA Sports today at Albert Park.

Photo of Gary Muraahi and his daughter Charli walking off the field today after Charli took the last wicket to bowl TA Sports out for 105.

This is one of the proudest father daughter moments you will ever witness, it's not offen you get a chance as a parent to play a game of cricket with your child.

TA Marist Cricket has been privileged to have Hayden and Zach Easton playing for us the last two seasons.

Hayden and Zach came to TA Marist Cricket last season and were an instant boost to our Cricket team. Haydens wicket keeping and Zachs bowling was just what Marist needed.

On the back of these two players efforts we won the WVCA Peter Bennett Cup for the first time.

It's a special time in life when you are lucky enough to be able to play a game of sport with your parent or child. And we hope these two look back on what they achieved playing as Father and Son together. All the best for your cricket future.

The final at Seddon Park today saw Pirongia post a score of 229 for 7 while batting first. Unfortunately, rain disrupted play during the lunch break, preventing Marist from having a chance to bat. With no further play possible, the game was called off at 3 PM. After a meeting with the WVCA, Pirongia was awarded the 2025 Chairman's Trophy. Congratulations to Pirongia!
