NgÄ mihi nui e te whÄnau! šš
A massive thank you to our incredible Junior Rugby community!
Our HÄngÄ« Fundraiser was a huge success, with so many takeaway meals collected and plenty of whÄnau enjoying a great evening dining in at the club. We couldn't have done it without the amazing support of our community.
Every one of our teams got behind the fundraiser by donating food, money, or giving their time and mahi. We'd also like to give a special shout-out to some of the incredible people and businesses who went above and beyond:
š„ Viands Brothers Bakery ā thank you for coming to the rescue with your beautiful rewena bread.
š„ Daryl from Fresh Direct ā thank you for your incredibly generous donation of the lion's share of our vegetables.
š Our Dargaville Kumara Grower ā thank you for the fresh kÅ«mara.
š„ Paul and his whÄnau ā thank you for the delicious steamed puddings, the firewood, and for tirelessly tending the hÄngÄ« pit throughout the day.
š„” Diana Manutai - Licensed Real Estate Salesperson ā thank you for sponsoring our takeaway containers and all the extras we needed.
š K&L Shearing ā thank you for donating the mutton and raffle prizes.
š§ŗ Jamie and her whÄnau ā thank you for providing the hÄngÄ« baskets.
A special thank you also to Mae, Ethan and whÄnau, Jaimee-Lee, Ben, Chloe, Mark, Dex, Fish, and the many others who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into the mahi. Whether you were peeling vegetables, preparing kai, packing meals, serving, cleaning up, or simply stepping in wherever you were needed, your hard work and willingness to help made all the difference.
To everyone who donated, volunteered, purchased a hÄngÄ«, or supported us in any way, thank you. It truly takes a village, and this fundraiser showed exactly what our Junior Marist whÄnau is all about.
From me and the entire Junior Rugby team, ngÄ mihi nui. Thank you all for your generosity, your hard work, and your continued support. We are incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing community. šš
