Waitakere City Rugby Football & Sports Club Inc. Junior rugby club for kids 4 to 13 years old. Senior club from school leavers up until Presidents 35+ grades available. Welcome to Waitakere Rugby.

We are a club that is growing from strength to strength and there are plenty of new things happening, our HIGH PERFORMANCE ACADEMY ensures we have enhanced training and game day performances throughout the teams. With our junior teams growing each year - you'll love becoming a part of our rugby family. Junior Rugby is the HEART and SOUL of any club.

What a way to finish the season with our Junior Rugby Prizegiving & Glow Disco! 🎉

A huge congratulations to all our players on a brilliant season. From the first whistle to the final game, we’ve seen plenty of growth, teamwork, determination, big smiles and great rugby. 💪❤️

Saturday was all about celebrating our young players and recognising the effort, commitment and sportsmanship they’ve shown throughout the season. Every player should be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved. 👏

A massive thank you to our coaches, managers, volunteers, referees, supporters and families for everything you’ve done behind the scenes. Junior rugby simply wouldn’t happen without you! 🙌

With the last round of games starting this Friday, I want to wish all of our junior teams the very best as we head into the final weekend of the season.

It’s been a fantastic season, and I’m incredibly proud of the ALL of you have represented our club, both on and off the field.

To all of our players — enjoy these final games. Play for each other, back your teammates and make the most of every moment.

Wear your jersey with pride. Represent your team and our club with pride. Leave everything you have out on the field.

Whatever the scoreboard says at the final whistle, walk off knowing you gave it everything and finished the season the right way.

One last round. One last big effort. Finish strong.

Give it everything, enjoy it, and make your final game of the season one to remember.

It takes a village, and ours certainly showed up!

A huge thank you from Waitākere Rugby Club to the teams who put on this fantastic quiz night and fundraised to help our young people get one step closer to the 2026 Global Games in Taupō! 🏉

We’d like to acknowledge everyone who helped make the night happen — Westie Lee, our MC and Quiz Master, team managers Katy, Antonella and Lisa, quiz night helpers Kelly, Ryan, Terry, Rich, Tom, Vicky and Julie, and our Wahine Toa girls who helped on the night.
