Coach Mark has been an incredible influence on my 10-year-old son, Nicholas. Since starting coaching with Mark, we've seen a noticeable improvement in Nicholas’s soccer skills. More importantly, his confidence on the field has grown significantly, which has made him enjoy the game so much more. Mark creates a supportive and encouraging environment that helps young players thrive. We're really grateful for the time and effort he puts into each session. Highly recommend!

Welcome to 2025 and another exciting Football Season. My name is Mark Ball, and with the support of the Waikato Football Academy, I am floating the concept of coaching and referee mentoring to help those who are doing a great job Coaching or refereeing junior or school football games below the High school level.
I have been involved in Football for over 40 years, in Administration, playing, coaching, and refereeing, and I have seen and experienced a lot within the game. (My Football CV is available on request.)
There are a lot of parents, teachers, and volunteers out there taking on the roles of Coaches and Referees and may need some behind-the-scenes help. I am not looking to take on any team but want to be there offering support, coaching, and refereeing ideas for the good of the players.
I would like to help coaches/parents become confident and accurate when refereeing, thus becoming productive and giving the players a positive and enjoyable experience playing the game. I would like to help here if a lack of knowledge or understanding of the laws of the game is the issue.
Now this concept is quite new, and I feel it is needed but I will need the support of those invested in the game to make playing the game enjoyable, safe, and enjoyable for young players.
This would be a user pays situation but not expensive.
