Grand Tavern Hunting and Fishing club A hunting & Fishing Club, Te Aroha Glenn Balsom 0272710050 The club has been in operation since1985.

The club has its own clubrooms (The Wallow), right next door to the Grand Tavern in Te Aroha. Originally named the Grand Tavern Hunting club, the club has been known as the Grand Tavern Hunting and Fishing club since 1993. The members enjoy the family atmosphere at club hunts. . Our annual open hunt competition is in May. The competition draws hunters and anglers from all over the North island. Th

ough, primarily we are a Hunting and Fishing club that promotes sportsmanship and conservation to a wide age group, we are also a charity based club, with all profit/proceeds donated to various local charities as well as the Westpac Trust air ambulance.

There will be no competition this year.

After 40 years, the club has made the decision to close.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported, participated, and been part of the club over the years.

If anyone is interested in taking over or keeping the club going, please get in touch.

🎣🍻 Grand Tavern Hunting & Fishing Club Update 🍻🎣

The Grand Tavern Hunting & Fishing Club has gone into recess for one year (from July 25, 2025).

📌 A meeting will be held in July 2026 to decide the future of the club unless a new team steps up to take the reins before then.

👉 We’re looking for keen people to carry on the club.
We’re more than happy to help guide and support anyone interested in taking over.
