We climb together.
We paddle together.

And sometimes… we literally help pull each other out of the water.

Because a team is only as strong as the way they take care of one another.

There will be moments when you feel strong enough to lead, moments when you need someone to pull you through, and moments when the only thing keeping you moving forward is knowing your teammates are right there beside you.

That’s adventure racing. And this is why we love this sport so much.

Right. We need more teams.

Well, okay—that’s not entirely true.

We’ll run this race regardless with the teams we have, because that’s what we do. But truth be told, we want more of you out there with us.

As of now, we’re about half full (15 of 30 spots remaining).
Three youth teams are already locked in (only 2 youth spots left!), which we’re stoked about. Maybe you’re already planning to join us this December and just haven’t registered yet. (We know, we know—we’re terrible at using early-bird deadlines to force your hand.)

But the real reason we’re calling out is simple: we love what we do, and we want to share it with as many of you as possible.

We put on a hell of a good adventure. A proper, unsupported expedition race tied directly to the Adventure Racing World Series . It’s as sustainable as we can make it, ridiculously affordable for what you get, and built by racers, for racers: Real navigation that actually tests your team.

Technical terrain and a hard-earned but achievable course. and amazing grassroots media coverage that puts your team in the spotlight to a worldwide audience.

So, if you’re sitting on the fence, what’s holding you back? Is it timing?
Format?
Something else?

Feedback from previous editions has been mind-blowing, and because we actually listen and adapt, MAG is only getting better.

We know we’re not the mega-hyped, helicopter-savvy, event everyone’s grandma has heard of on the evening news (also a great race by the way!). And we don't quite yet offer the social media name-drop-ability that will earn you general and mainstream recognition of your accomplishments (or attempted accomplishments).

But we do offer a globally connected, affordable, kick-ass, authentic adventure, and isn't that really what you're after? So if you’re just waiting around to sign up—do us a favor and get on with it! We’re less than four months out. Let’s do this.

We're always stoked when young racers get 'the bug'. And that's just what happened when Joseph Mulliss got a late-stage call to join Fletcher Williams in Canada to represent NZ in the U25 category of the inaugural Junior Adventure Racing Word Champs last month, after Fletcher's original teammate had to pull the pin. Not only did Joseph have a great experience in Canada, bringing home silver in the men's division with Fletcher, but he's hooked. He's recruited some friends and nabbed the third (of five) discounted youth entries for this year's MAGNIficent event. Awesome!

The future of adventure racing has never looked brighter. 

A huge congratulations to the teams that competed in the very first Junior World Championships. Watching a cohort of young athletes from around the world race in Canada last week inspired us! 

To the organizers, volunteers, media crews, families, coaches, race directors and everyone who made this historic event possible—thank you. Your countless hours created an unforgettable experience that has helped to inspire the next generation of adventure racers.

At MAGNIficent and BendRacing, supporting youth in our sport has always been close to our hearts. We believe these young athletes are the future, and we want to help them continue chasing big adventures.

That's why we offer 5 youth team entries for $1,000 NZD each year for MAGNIficent.

Wow! What a month it's been, first we had RD Jason Magness compete in Adventure Immersion Lab 's Raid the Rockies with Team BendRacing RedLine Ultra and take the win! And then we had ChelseyandJason (head of sponsors and social media) take on the Yukon1000Race - which her and teammate Daniel Staudigel took 2nd place behind the amazing kiwi duo- Sophie Hart and Nathan Faavae (super congratulations 🎉).

We are now recovering and coming back online after a much needed hiatus. It's so cool how adventures like these inspire us to keep putting on the best events we can.

We are so excited for the MAGNIficent #3. It's crazy how soon it will be here.
