That closes out the 2024 Season.

A cracker time with incredible people and a stellar team!!

You, ladies, are incredible and super proud of what you all achieved this season and excited for our 6 players selected for trials.

Blown away by what Coach .f98 and I were able to achieve this season, so a big thank you to you mate.

We haven't finished yet as we continue to work towards trials and build the off-season plan.

Enjoy the rest though ladies, you have learnt it.

Proud to be back in the green machine but this time as an outsider observing how our Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic players overcome different challenges, communicate and succeed despite the challenges staked against them.

Thanks to the Codie Christensen Catherine Luzak and the awesome crew at the Eru Brown Gymnasium, you never disappoint.

As per usual, everything ran like clockwork, professional and executed with precision. We walked away with so many learnings to implement for the season ahead and keep us all accountable.

NZ Laser Champion!!

Over the weekend the 2024 Laser National Champs were held in Napier where client took to the water and came away

Prior, Nik had suffered acute and chronic back pain from years of competitive sailing and training, episodes occurring fairly frequently.

The pain meant the primary focus on training was mobility, increasing core strength progressing to adopting similar positions specific to Nik’s sailing technique while simultaneously developing full body strength with an emphasis on pulling actions.

Nik was studious and consistent in sticking to the new routine and slowly the pain became more and more manageable to the point where he was confident in training multiple days on the water leading into the Championship.

This is all a reflection of your efforts, discipline and commitment to the process Nik and we couldn't be happier for you and your success. We are over the moon and can't wait to get back into it again.

Tracking progress will inevitably lead to your success

How do you know you are making progress if you don't make note of what you have done?

Keeping track of how much weight you have lifted in this week's gym training will allow you to increase the following week, writing 📝 a food diary or counting calories will allow you to see how much or how little fuel you consume on a daily basis to enable you to perform optimally or help you shed a couple of extra pounds.
Monitoring your spending will allow you to make better financial decisions for your future. These are just a few ways we may track things.

We encourage our clients, athletes and ourselves to track as it's a key indicator of your progress and how close you are to success.

Pick one area to focus on…for women, it might be how heavy each exercise is and for men, it might be what have I eaten this week.

Next, make it really simple to track by using a diary or if you find apps easier, track one down. is great for tracking food and calories.

Lastly don't wait until Monday, start NOW.

How will you perform?

There is an element of Performance in everything we do.

It’s most common to view performance in a sporting context, the team or athlete that performs the best wins e.g. winning over on Sunday.

In fact performance can be applied to our families, work, chores, responsibilities and many more; however, it’s the level of performance that we apply and what we do physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually that will determine how we perform.

Although specialises in physical performance, we have the knowledge, experience and strategies in the above that can be implemented to give you optimal performance in what ever it is that you chose.

For some of us it might be spending more time with our kids, wanting to work harder, to have more energy to study for an exam or to perform better in your sport.

The same principles apply:

• What fuel are you putting into your body?
• What activity/exercise are you doing to physically and mentally prepare for the task at hand?
• Who are you talking/listening to for inspiration, guidance etc?
• What are you doing to maintain mental and emotional stability?

These are just a few questions you can ask, but we can all perform at our best as long as we are willing.
