Four weeks ago, Mike and I sat down and set a few goals: one of these where to achieve 3 box jumps at the top height.
From there, I built a structured 3-day training split designed to improve a few key things:
• Lower body strength to increase force production
• Plyometric ability to develop explosive power
• Ground contact time to improve reactive strength
• Muscle tendon elasticity to better utilise the stretch–shortening cycle
All of this helps the body produce force faster and more efficiently, which is exactly what’s required for higher and more powerful jumps.
Mike’s original goal was just 3 reps, by week 3 he had achieved 5 reps and today at week 4 of his training block he hit 10 consecutive box jumps at the top height!!
This is what happens when clear goals, structured programming and consistent effort come together.
Huge credit to Mike for trusting the process with me and putting in the work every week. From 3 jumps as the goal… to 10 in a row.
Absolutely epic. 👏🔥
Gosh I love what I do!! 😍
