Rainy Day Update! 🌧️❌🎾

It’s a washout today, folks. The rain has officially stopped play, which means both Junior afternoon coaching and tonight's Evening Cardio are cancelled.

On the bright side, you officially have an excuse to skip the workout, stay cozy inside, and watch some World Cup highlights! 🏆⚽📺

Stay warm, stay dry, and we will hit the courts again as soon as the sun decides to cooperate.

🎾 SCHOOL HOLIDAY TENNIS CAMP & MATARIKI TOURNAMENT! 🎾

The July school holidays are just 2 weeks away, and NOW is the time to get the kids sorted! Whether they are picking up a racquet for the first time or wanting to level up their skills, we’ve got an awesome week planned at Papamoa Tennis Club.

Here is what's coming up:

🗓️ Week 1 Holiday Camp
When: Monday, July 6 – Thursday, July 9

What: A super fun, skill-building camp designed to introduce kids to tennis or help them progress on their tennis journey.

The Vibe: Guided by our Club Coach, Peter Blow, who always focuses on learning through fun!

🌟 Matariki Fun Tournament
When: Friday, July 10 | From 8:30 AM onwards

What: A special kids' tennis tournament to celebrate the Matariki public holiday.

Who: We’d love to see the whole family come down to support and enjoy this fun community event!

The free sessions may be over, but we’re just getting started. We’re turning our Saturday Rusty Rackets into a Double-Header Session to take your game to the next level!

The Saturday Lineup:
✅ 12:30 PM: Rusty Rackets Coaching (Back to basics & skill building)
✅ 1:30 PM: NEW Rookie Camp with Gemma Parriss (Game play & match tactics)
✅ Afterwards: Stay and play! Use the courts to practice with your new friends.

We all know someone affected by cancer. Memory Meadows is a space to remember and reflect while giving back. Join us this Saturday, 18 April, at the reserve on Maunganui Road between Zespri and the Mount Library.

All donations support the Cancer Society.

🎾 Weather Update: Cardio & Hump Day Doubles

After consulting with the the (not-so-great) forecast and Coach Peter Blow, we’re making an early call on the upcoming sessions:
❌ Cardio Tennis tonight is cancelled.
⏳ Hump Day Doubles is being pushed back a week—start date is now Wednesday, April 15.

Sorry for the "fault" in the weather! Stay dry and we’ll see you for a double-header of fun next week. 🎾

Our Club Championships wrapped up with a spectacular Finals Day!
After a 5-Sunday stretch through March our Club Champs have officially been crowned.
