At OFC Wฤhine, we believe there should be a place for every girl to play, belong and grow โ€” whether sheโ€™s kicking a ball for the first time, playing football with her friends, or dreaming of competing at the highest level.
Our 2027 pathway is designed to give girls choice at every stage.

From First Kicks and junior football, through to our U13 and U15 social and development options, and into senior womenโ€™s football โ€” girls can find the environment thatโ€™s right for their goals, confidence and love of the game.

For players wanting to pursue an elite pathway, weโ€™re proud to work alongside WaiBOP Football and Te Ara Wฤhine, providing opportunities from U14 and U16 through to Womenโ€™s Premiership and Reserves.
And most importantly, whichever pathway our girls choose, we want OFC to remain a place where they feel connected, supported and valued. ๐Ÿ’—

Girls need to see it to believe it. ๐Ÿ’—โšฝ

When girls see women and older girls playing, coaching, refereeing and leading, it changes what they believe is possible for themselves.

And role models donโ€™t always have to be professional players.

Sometimes itโ€™s the 15-year-old coaching an 8-year-old.
The older player who remembers her name.
The female coach standing on the sideline.
The young referee having the confidence to pick up the whistle.

At OFC Wahine, we want to create more of those moments โ€” because football is about so much more than developing great players.

Itโ€™s about developing confident girls, friendships, leaders and a sense of belonging.

๐Ÿ’— Meet our inaugural She Plays She Leads cohort!

This weekend we celebrated five incredible young female leaders by taking them to Eden Park to watch Auckland FC (Invitational) take on Chelsea Womenโ€”an unforgettable opportunity to experience world-class women's football up close.

These girls were selected as the first participants in our She Plays She Leads programme, which aims to inspire the next generation of female leaders both on and off the football field.

Watching elite athletes compete, sharing the experience together and seeing what's possible was the perfect way to kick off their leadership journey.

A huge thank you to their whฤnau for supporting them and helping make opportunities like this possible. We can't wait to see these young leaders continue to grow and make a positive impact within our club and community.

Last night was something special. ๐Ÿ’š
Through honest conversations and practical activities, our girls explored resilience, confidence, focus, and the power of lifting each other up.
It was inspiring to see 25 girls, along with parents and coaches, step outside their comfort zones, share ideas, and build skills that will help them not only in football, but in life.

This is exactly what OFC Wahine is all about โ€” creating a space where girls feel they belong, grow in confidence, and thrive both on and off the field.
