Kane Williamson is the ultimate role model for our students—not just for what he has achieved, but for how he carries himself.
Kane gave us someone to look up to, someone to admire and someone we could watch dominate the best bowling attacks in the world.
Kane proved that you don't have to sacrifice your dignity to conquer world cricket. At a time when aggressive antics often seemed like a requirement for success, he showed a new generation of players that true greatness can be built on humility and respect.
Away from all his cricketing greatness, he was always a great person. He would always make time for his old school. He would always donate items to help the latest cricket tour; he would always take time to acknowledge you and make you feel heard.
We love being able to say Kane went to TBC.
We will miss seeing him on the cricket field.

Kane Williamson Shield 2025/26
The philosophy behind this award is to support the growth/development of our boys into good men, not just good cricketers. Kane is a phenomenal cricketer but he is also an outstanding team man who upholds the values that we see as being important at TBC Cricket and across the school in general.

This award recognises the TBC cricketer who has most consistently exhibited these values across the 2025/26 season.

The Kane Williamson Shield recipient for the 2025/26 season is Alex Carson.

Alex is an awesome team man - he is always 100% committed to doing everything he can both on and off the field to help his team and his team mates be as successful as possible. He shows great character in testing match scenarios and he never lets a situation get the better of him. His ‘never say die’ attitude with both the bat and ball has seen some match winning contributions, not just this year, but consistently since he has been involved in Senior Men’s cricket. Alex always has ‘the team’ at the forefront of his mind and he is a most worthy recipient of this prestigious TBC Cricket award.
