Saturday swims are well underway for the winter terms at Baywave. CSS test today with a hop along coach back on poolside. Next week should see two coaches poolside with the return of . Winter is a great time to work on swim form and pacing so if you are sitting on the fence get along and join in the fun!

The things we take for granted, family, friends and health. Back into hospital for three days with a blood clot post knee surgery. It has honestly been miserable. But a constant has been , thank you for looking after me. your visit was the highlight of the week! Don't take your fitness for granted team. I have been beat up and humbled last few months, it hasn't been fun. The road to recovery starts now, motivated by that which I took for granted, the ability to swim, bike, run (or coffee) with friends.

Shameless pity seeking coaching update! I missed Ironman this year, gutted to miss the team perform so well. My excuse, an appendix removal in Tauranga hospital. Fast forward 10 days and back into hospital for knee surgery (ACL reconstruction and meniscus reattachment). All things considered I've done well. Will run a bit lighter minus an appendix and the knee won't collapse whilst doing so! Just a few months of rehab to look forward to now, fun times! Thanks all for the support

Atmospheric morning swim. In short, it's cold. Don't let that stop you though. The water is warm, the set is good and winter gains are there to be had.

Great to be back in the sea! A beautiful morning with an awesome bunch of people making the most of Pilot Bay. Swims will continue throughout the summer on a Saturday morning and Tuesday evening. All are welcome!

What a day for this lady. Executed her plan brilliantly and delivered an epic result in Kona. Well done Kirsty! I know how hard you have worked, and the dedication that has gone into this result. Thoroughly deserved. Now please have a rest!!!
